Comets House Party @ Bridgette & Dima's : Friday night, June 1st, many Comets supporters drove out to the Woodlands to be a part of the first Comets House party to gain interest in the community and to establish a connection between players and their fans. Comets owner Hilton was present, as well as 3 of the Comets team members: Dee Davis, Mistie Williams & Michelle Snow. Thanks to Bridgette Chambers (2007 Tri Chair of HRC) & partner Dima Elissa for sponsoring this well received event, and to Carol Wyatt of socialnoteshouston.com. More parties like this will hopefully bring us closer as a community to support our WNBA Team.

Lara Bell : Lara Bell, of Channel 55, The Tube & her brother threw a surprise 60th birthday party for their mother, Bonnie, at the Majestic Metro, an eclectic old movie theatre turned event venue in downtown, Houston, TX. I came across an old friend of mine, one of my first jobs in PR with Kari Short & family, before I became an event photographer! The theme was very laid back and nice with hot dogs from James Coney Island and hamburgers & nachos. Popcorn stand and custom made photograph cookies. Then a presentation & slide show by Lara & her brother. Followed by dancing on the stage. This was the best birthday surprise ever! Bonnie thought she was coming to a Dress for Success event!
